She/her

Laura D. Juul is a silversmith, jewelry artist and fine crafts-person who has been creating silver jewelry for over thirty 30 years. Starting out on her own, she began taking classes in the Jewelry Manufacturing Program at Minneapolis College. Laura then taught at the college for seven years, and has continued as an educator for more than 20.

She teaches our adult precious metal clay, traditional silversmithing, fused glass and mosaic classes. She finds inspiration from all aspects of life, nature, human emotions, architecture, history and other teaching artists, but mostly from the people who take her classes. She loves and is astounded by her students when they have creative breakthroughs.

My name is Morgan Babl (she/her), and I’m a Minneapolis-based multimedia artist originally from Wausau, Wisconsin.

My work wanders across disciplines, from photography to abstract sculpture, following the whimsy of my inner child. As a teaching artist, I love working with elementary-age children who encourage me to tap into my own uninhibited imagination and exploration, and it’s my aim as an arts educator to nurture these qualities in students.

I will graduate with my BA Arts degree in the spring of 2024 and my Masters of Education in Visual Arts in the spring of 2025, both from the University of Minnesota.

My name is Zoe Rogers (she/they), and I’m an art teacher who lives and teaches in the Twin Cities metro. As an artist, I work mainly in drawing, painting, and printmaking, but I also love ceramics, digital art, and comics/book arts.

I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in studio art and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Minnesota, where I graduated in 2021. I also earned my Master’s degree in Education from the U and hold a MN K-12 teaching license in visual art. Currently, I work full-time as a K-5 art teacher and am passionate about the importance of arts education in our communities.

My philosophy as an art educator is to challenge students to dream big as artists while nurturing students’ creativity and problem solving skills so they can achieve their own artistic goals. I believe that we are all artists and that art is an essential tool for us to connect with others and understand the world we live in.

I’m Tani (she/her), a writer and painter whose love affair with watercolor began in 1998. I enjoy ink, acrylic, and other mediums, but watercolor is usually my passion. I’ve worked extensively with many types of papers, pigments and approaches. My current obsessions are urban sketching using various pens and markers, and watercolor mineral paper (GAH! Love it so much!)

With over a decade of experience in teaching classes and workshops for adults in interpersonal communications and healthcare, I’m thrilled to combine that teaching experience with my study and experience of art-making.

Workshops include cultivating creativity, painting birds, and intro to watercolor; primarily for adults but also school-age children. Whatever the class or medium, my aim is to nurture self-discovery, guiding people in various techniques in ways that nurture people’s own creative process and voice.

My name is Tasia (she/her) and I've been a teaching artist at Articulture for two years. Intergenerational classes and grades K-12 are my primary areas of focus, but I've also been teaching in classrooms for English, art and other subjects for close to 20 years now.

I have a BA in Art & Advertising from Winona State University (1999), and a MA in Teaching from University of St. Thomas with Graduate Certificates in Gifted Ed & Autism Spectrum Disorders (2005). My teaching experience, work as an artist, and education have given me the expertise to create inclusive art experiences for all ages and abilities, and the flexibility to make adjustments in the moment when needed.

As a teaching artist my approach has always been one of discovery, experimentation, process over product, and reflection. In my own practice as a working henna and mixed media artist I follow the same approach, but of course I often have a finished product as the goal. Above all, I've always believed that art is part of that innate human need to create and make things with our hands, so I'm always happy to facilitate artmaking!
