¡Viva la Frida!

This class will find insight from the life story and creative legacy of Frida Kahlo. We will study the symbolism used in her drawings, paintings, and self-portraits to depict her man obstacles, pains, passions, and resilience. Turning to her journal for inspiration, students will create artist books, explore symbolism through self-portraits, and design retablos that celebrate what heals and connects us.
Note: Materials fee $8 payable first day of class.
