Favorite artistic medium and why? I don't have a favorite medium, because my favorite thing to do is combine different mediums, but I do have a strong preference for 3D art. My favorite type of art to make is puppets, because it combines tons of different skills, and there is endless potential for creativity, magic, storytelling and surprise!
A style/medium of art that you would love to learn how to do? I would love to learn glass blowing.

Abigail Meyer

How long you've been teaching? 3 years
What age groups do you teach?

I am starting with Articulture as a summer camp teacher for grades K-12 depending on the camp, but am also hoping to teach adults in the future.

Favorite artistic medium and why? My favorite medium is watercolor! Even though it is not my area of expertise, exploring with it I have learned that you can get incredible variation and detail with watercolor and it is fantastic for pieces that range from extremely realistic to surreal and abstract.

Most underrated artist? Not a single artist, but I believe graffiti artists are some of the most underrated artists because of the stigma and their inability to attach their name to their street art in many cases.
A style/medium of art that you would love to learn how to do? I would like to learn how to make fused glass art and I would like to improve my oil painting skills!

Printmaking, painting, life drawing, comic book art and illustration, animation, fiber arts, conceptual sculpture, performance, environmental consciousness and design, portfolio college prep.

Favorite artistic medium and why?

Soft sculpture/fiber arts; because it has such an array of possibilities as to what can be created, while still incorporating traditional fiber techniques (sewing, knitting, crocheting, braiding, felting, embroidery, rug making… etc). Also, the fact that it can be incorporated into performance art, creating a whole new perception.
