Making art, food, and eating—what could be better? Tuesday and Wednesday will be for working on food related artproject. While, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday will be for creating in your kitchen to whip up some tasty cuisine and treats to share with the family.

Supply List:

Food Materials

  • 2.5 cups or 1/2 lb fresh berries
  • 1 lemon
  • Fruit or veggie to cut up for a snack
  • 2 slices bread
  • Peanut or Sunflower Butter
  • Your favorite pizza toppings

          o    mozzarella cheese,  or cheese substitute, pepperoni, black olives, bell peppers, onions, ground sausage, fresh basil, etc.

  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 6 ounces tomato paste
  • 15 ounces tomato sauce
  • 1-2 tablespoons Italian seasoning
  • Salt / Pepper
  • 1 0.25 ounce package of active dry yeast
  • 1 bag all purpose flour
  • Olive or vegetable oil
  • 3 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 and 3/4 cups powdered sugar
  • 3 tablespoons butter or vegan substitute
  • 1 bag granulated white sugar (must have for cake, but can be substitute honey, agave, or maple syrup for jam)
  • 1 1/4 cup milk or non-dairy milk
  • Regular Yellow Cake Only - 1/2 cup shortening or butter, 2 eggs, and 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • Vegan Vanilla Cake Only - 1 teaspoon baking soda, 1 tablespoon white or apple cider vinegar

Art Materials

  • 10 or more sheets paper (printer or drawing)
  • 1 sheet construction paper or cardstock
  • Pencil or favorite drawing materials
  • For binding recipe/ sketchbook- either stapler OR embroidery needle and embroidery floss
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Tape
  • Toothpicks or wooden skewers
  • Recycled food containers

          o    cereal and snack boxes, egg cartons, toilet paper or paper towel tubes, recycled paper, plastic containers, etc.

  • Optional decorations for food truck- paint, paint brushes, construction paper, cardstock, markers, etc.
