CHILDREN'S CLASSES: Students dropped off more than 10 minutes early or picked up more than 10 minutes late will be charged for childcare. Children picked up after childcare ends will be charged $1 per minutes.

SCHOLARSHIPS:Scholarships are available to those who qualify. Contact us for a scholarship form.

TAX ADVANTAGE:Class fees for children and youth 5 & up may qualify for state tax deduction.

REFUNDS, CHARGES, & CANCELLATIONS: Full refunds will be given if you cancel two wees before a class begins. No refunds will be issued after that time. There is a $20 charge for checks returned due to insufficient funds. There are no membership refunds. We will notify you ONLY if your class is canceled. Class cancellations will be determined three days before first class. You are welcome to call and check the status of your class.

Art Sprouts - Summer Session

Geared towards the youngest of artists, this class cultivates cognitive development, small motor skills, and creative thinking. Little minds and hands will be kept busy with visual play, storytelling, and more.

Wee Grow Art - Summer Session - CLASS IS FULL

Toddlers explore the world of visual arts! Young artists play while learning basic art concepts and terminology through 2- and 3-dimensional art projects. Classes foster cognitive development, small motor skills, and creative thinking.

Art Together - Summer Session

Length: 
5 weeks (ages 3-4 & caregiver)

This is the third age-appropriate curriculum level that encourages creative young minds and active hands. Child and caregiver will work both collaboratively and independently on a variety of stimulating projects. Participants will increase knowledge of basic art concepts and terminology.

Summer Camps

Summer Art Camps 2010

Length: 
Full Day or Half Day (PreK - 6th Grade)

Each week offers a different subject for camp goers. Some camps have all-day or half-day AM/PM time options available.  Curriculum will include different projects for morning and afternoon classes. Other camps are all-day only (see camps below for details). 

Camps are open to PreK (age 4) through sixth grade unless otherwise indicated. By design, curriculum is age appropriate (including mixed age camps). When larger enrollment dictates separate classes, students will be divided according to age, ability and interests.

Note: All students—bring a snack. Full-day students—bring lunch and two snacks. If preferred, ArtiCulture offers snacks for .75each.

Comics and Animation - ALL SESSIONS ARE CLOSED

Length: 
5 days (Grades 3 & up)

Students will practice techniques, processes and creative tricks used to produce stories that successfully convey ideas, thoughts and feelings. Students will learn how to conceive, draw, ink, letter and ultimately create unique cartoons and comic series. Stop motion clay animation (claymation) will also bring this fun camp to new heights a movie debut at the end of the week.

Nature of Art

Length: 
5 days (Grades PreK-6th)

What do nature and science have to do with art? Everything! Artists often find inspiration from the world around us. Exploring natural patterns, shapes, colors and more will be motivation enough for creativity in this fun camp.

A World of Art

Participants in this camp will travel to far off places. While visiting the continents, experience the arts and cultures of distant lands. In one creatively packed week travel the world and be filled with wonderfully different and artistic ideas.

Reigning Cats & Dogs

Your cat strikes a perfect pose and the dog is just too cute. Learn techniques to draw creatures who are often in motion. This camp is ideal for those who love both animals and art. Class visits by various animal friends throughout the week will be arranged.

Art Car - ALL SESSIONS ARE CLOSED

(Grades 3 & up - teens encouraged!)

Once again we’re having ArtiCulture’s Art Car team! We will use a donated car as a blank canvas for young artists with a vision.Participants will conceptualize and present their idea to the car owner for approval, then drive into action to create a mobile masterpiece. The grand finale will be class participation in the Art Car Parade Saturday, July 24.

Donate your car as our art car canvas! Always wanted an art car, but never took the plunge? Here’s your chance. Donate your car for a week and it will come back with a new artistic identity!

Play it Again!

Printmaking is magical when using a variety of techniques and materials from one-of-a-kind monoprints and colligraphs to foam cuts and carved images to create multiple images. Experimenting with our vintage printing press is an added bonus.

Green Planet

Green your personal planet. Spend mornings at Northern Clay Center making clay cups, mugs and plates on the potters wheel. Then spend afternoons at ArtiCulture finding unusual ways to use renewable and recycled materials to create unique “green” works of art.

Art of Food - ALL SESSIONS ARE CLOSED

YUM!  Back by popular demand – where art becomes food and food becomes art. Mornings will at ArtiCulture will have creating “foodworks” with a variety of non-food materials. Afternoon classes will take place a block away at the kitchen classroom of the Seward Co-op. Using local foods when possible, participants will chop, measure, stir, bake and cook to their hearts’ and stomachs’ desire.

Theatrical Arts Exploration Class: Animals Rule!

Pets rise-up and decide the humans have done enough damage in the world and it’s their turn to make the earth a better place. The humans are shocked and amazed and do everything to stop the changes coming their way. Do the animals take over, do the humans let them or fight back or ... Join the fun and help decide what happens! Students create a story and all visuals for the play.

Intro to Water Media
